This 4,500 s.f. residence was designed on a rural site with a 180 foot change in elevation. The massing, character, materials, and construction of the house reflect the local vernacular architecture found in rural eastern Tennessee. The design won an unbuilt honor award from the late Michael Graves, FAIA, who served as juror.
